The Friday Night Crafting Club allows crafters of all types to bring supplies and get work done without the distractions of home. No registration is required. It runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 13: Learn the popular fiber arts craft of needlefelting with Katie Stevenson. A materials fee of $5 is due at registration. The lesson starts at 6 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 13. Homeschooler Sandra Vonniessen-Applebee will provide information for parents who homeschool or are considering homeschooling their children. It is free, but registration is required. The meeting will start at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 18: Karen Keeler will be available to help amateur genealogists with their ancestry search. It is free, but registration is required. The digging will start at 6:45 p.m.

Mondays, Universally Accessible Music Class: The New Fairfield Public Library designed this music class is for school-age students who various disabilities. Classes start at 4:30 p.m. For more information and to register, call Parks and Recreation at 203-312-5635.
Mondays, Wee Ones: Stories and music for ages 12 to 23 months with Ms Janet. Dates include Nov. 9, 16, 23, and 30. Call 203-312.5682 to register. Ms Janet will be ready at 10:30 a.m., and will have the kids tired out by 11 a.m.
Tuesdays, Tales for Twos: Stories, music and crafts for ages 24 to 35 months with Ms. Janet. Nov. 10, 17, and 24. Registration is required. The busy half hour starts at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesdays, More Stories Please: Children ages three to five are welcome to join Ms. Judy for stories and fun every week through Dec. 16. No programs will be held on Nov. 11, and Nov 23. Stories start at 1:30 p.m.
Thursdays, Drop-in Storytime/Stay and Play: Stories, music and movement for all ages with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday unless school is closed. No registration is required. Ms JoAnn starts at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 6: Optical Illusions: Children ages 5 through 12 will discover how mirrors and their reflections can play tricks on what they see. Students will make periscopes to see above and beyond. Registration is required. The illusions start at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 7, First Saturday Storytime: Children of all ages can join kindergarten teacher, Ms. Hannan, for stories and fun! Registration is required. Story time runs from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 28: Santa’s Workshop: Talk to one of Santa’s elves at the North Pole. Meet Mrs. Claus and visit with Santa. Children can visit the Program Room between 1-3:30 p.m. and make a holiday craft. Registration with a definitive time slot is required for visiting with Santa by calling the Parks and Rec Department at 203-312-5635. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras.
